Setting

Planning the setting for The Escaped, when based it on the what believed would be seen as a typical horror convention. we did a servey to find out the most popular horror settings listing from a hospital to house. a hospital and the woods came up as the most popular settings, so we developed these ideas more. for a hospital we decided on a mental hospital and it gave some background to the story, telling the audience that the girl in our short film opening suffered from some sort of mental health problem. We also used our props well in these scenes as we used a file to explain to the audience why she was in this place and that she had somehow 'escaped'.
